Durusu Terms of Use
Last updated: 8 September 2026
These terms are the agreement between you and Starqode Hub ("we", "us") for the Durusu app. By downloading, creating an account, or using Durusu, you accept them. If you do not accept them, please do not use the app.
If you are a parent or guardian setting up Durusu for a child, you accept these terms on that child's behalf and are responsible for their use of the app.
1. What Durusu is
Durusu is an exam revision and practice app for school learners. It generates practice papers and topic sessions from a bank of questions, marks your answers, and tracks your progress, across the grades, subjects, and curricula available in the app.
Durusu is a revision aid, not a school, an examiner, or a guarantee. We do not promise any particular exam result or grade. Questions are written to reflect the curriculum they cover, but they are not past official examination papers.
We are not affiliated with, endorsed by, or acting for any curriculum authority, examinations council or board, ministry or department of education, school, or educational publisher. Curriculum, grade, and subject names are used only to describe what the practice material covers.
2. Who may use Durusu
Durusu is intended for school-age learners. If you are under the age of majority where you live, a parent or guardian must agree to these terms and set up the account for you.
You may hold one account. You are responsible for keeping your password private and for what happens under your account. Tell us at info@starqodehub.com if you think someone else has access to it.
3. Free and paid content
Part of Durusu is free: one free exam paper per subject, plus a short free taster of questions in the topics we have opened. The rest — full topic practice and freshly generated papers each sitting — requires an active subscription.
We may change what is free and what is paid, and how much free content there is. Where a change materially reduces what you have already paid for, we will tell you before it takes effect.
4. Subscriptions and payment
Subscriptions are sold and billed by Apple or Google, not by us. Buying one means:
- Auto-renewal. Your subscription renews automatically at the end of each period at the price shown when you bought it, unless you cancel at least 24 hours before the period ends.
- Where you are charged. Payment is taken by your App Store or Google Play account. We never see your card or bank details.
- How to cancel. Cancel in the App Store or Play Store subscriptions screen — not in Durusu, because we cannot cancel a store subscription for you. Cancelling stops the next renewal; you keep access until the current period ends.
- Refunds. Refunds are handled by Apple or Google under their policies, and we cannot issue them ourselves. Contact us anyway if something has gone wrong and we will help where we can.
- Price changes. If we change the price, the store will tell you and ask you to agree before it applies to a renewal.
- One subscription, your account. A subscription is tied to the Durusu account you bought it on, so it works on every device you sign in on. Use Restore Purchases in Settings or on the subscription screen if a purchase does not appear.
Deleting your Durusu account does not cancel your subscription. Cancel it in the store as well, or billing continues.
5. How you may use Durusu
Use Durusu for your own revision, or for the learners in your care. You may not:
- copy, republish, sell, or redistribute our questions, answers, or explanations;
- scrape, bulk-download, or systematically extract the question bank;
- share an account or subscription beyond your household;
- attempt to bypass payment, unlock premium content, or interfere with our servers;
- reverse engineer the app except where the law expressly allows it;
- upload anything unlawful, or use Durusu to harm or harass anyone.
6. Our content
The questions, answers, explanations, app design, name, and logo belong to us or our licensors, and are protected by copyright. Using Durusu gives you a personal, non-transferable licence to use the content for revision — it does not transfer ownership of anything.
We work to keep questions accurate and curriculum-aligned. If you spot an error, please tell us at info@starqodehub.com so we can fix it.
7. Availability
We aim to keep Durusu running, but we do not promise it will be uninterrupted or error-free. We may update, suspend, or withdraw features, take the service down for maintenance, or stop offering the app in a country. If we discontinue a paid service entirely, we will give reasonable notice.
Durusu needs an internet connection for most things. Some results are saved on your device when you are offline and sync when you reconnect.
8. Ending this agreement
You may stop using Durusu at any time and delete your account in Settings → Delete account.
We may suspend or close an account that breaks these terms, is used fraudulently, or is used in a way that harms other users or our service. Where it is reasonable to do so, we will warn you first. If we close your account without good cause while you have paid for a subscription, contact us and we will put it right.
9. Our liability
Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law, including for death or personal injury caused by negligence, or for fraud.
Subject to that: Durusu is provided as a revision tool, and we are not liable for exam results, academic outcomes, or decisions made on the basis of the app. We are not liable for indirect or consequential loss. Where we are liable, our total liability is limited to the amount you paid us for the subscription in the twelve months before the claim.
10. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms. The date at the top shows when they last changed, and we will notify you in the app before a material change takes effect. Continuing to use Durusu after that means you accept the updated terms.
11. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of Kenya, and the courts of Kenya have jurisdiction over any dispute. If you are a consumer elsewhere, this does not remove protections you have under the law of your own country.
