Delete your Durusu account

Durusu is an exam revision and practice app for school learners, published by Starqode Hub ("we", "us"). This page explains how to delete your Durusu account, what is deleted with it, and what is not.

Delete it from the app

This is the fastest way, and it takes effect immediately.

1. Open Durusu and go to Settings.
2. Under Account, tap Delete account.
3. Confirm twice. The second prompt spells out what is about to go.

Your account and everything listed below are removed from our servers at that moment. There is no undo, and no waiting period in which you could change your mind.

Delete it without the app

If you have already uninstalled Durusu, or cannot sign in, email info@starqodehub.com from the address you signed up with, with the subject Delete my Durusu account.

We will confirm the request and delete the account within 30 days, usually within a few working days. We ask you to write from the registered address because it is how we can tell it is your account you are asking us to erase.

What is deleted

• Your account — the email address you registered, and your password if you set one. If you signed in with Google or Apple, the link between that sign-in and Durusu goes too.
• Every result you have saved — all past papers and topic sessions, their scores, the answers you gave and the questions you were served.
• Your subscription record — the entry that tells our server you have paid-for access.
• Your chosen curriculum and year.

These are removed from the live database immediately. Encrypted backups are kept for 30 days for disaster recovery and are then deleted, so a copy may persist in a backup for up to 30 days after your account is gone. Backups are never used to restore a deleted account.

What is not deleted, and what you should do about it

• Your Google Play subscription is not cancelled. Deleting your Durusu account removes your access, but the billing arrangement is with Google, not with us — you will keep being charged until you cancel it. Cancel it in the Play Store: Play Store → your profile icon → Payments & subscriptions → Subscriptions → Durusu → Cancel subscription. Do this as well as, and ideally before, deleting your account.
• Results saved before you signed in are stored on your phone and never reached us. Uninstalling Durusu removes them.
• Our payments processor, RevenueCat, keeps its own record of the purchase, identified by the account id that no longer exists. It is retained for accounting and fraud prevention. It grants no access to Durusu once the account is deleted.
• Records we are required to keep, such as those needed for tax or to resolve a payment dispute, are retained for as long as the law requires and for nothing else.
